Woman killed in head-on crash in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (Click2Houston) - Local law enforcement reports that a woman lost her life after a vehicle failed to maintain its proper lane and veered into oncoming traffic, hitting a pickup truck head on in southeast Houston Tuesday. The truck wreck happened at the 9400 block of Winkler Drive around 11:30 p.m.

Crash Scene Investigators say a female passenger of the truck was transported to Memorial Hermann, where police say the woman died. The responding officers believe the driver of the sedan may have been intoxicated. They also found alcohol bottles inside of the vehicle.
